The Los Angeles Lakers are on the brink of losing to the Boston Celtics in the Finals for the second time in three years. With Game 5′s win, the Celtics took the series lead away from the Lakers and head back to Los Angeles with a 3-2 advantage.
It was a physical game with 54 fouls and two technicals called. The Lakers didn’t mind as long as they were up 1-0. The Celtics fell in Los Angeles 102-89.
It was predictable as Blake Griffin suffering the Clipper curse that the LA Lakers were going to coast through the season, switch the ON button in the playoffs and reach the finals. What was not expected was the Boston Celtics meeting them there.
The Boston Celtics surprised a lot of people in the playoffs by stunningly defeating the heavily favored Cleveland Cavaliers and Orlando Magic. Not too shabby for a bunch of grizzled old veteran players. Now the Celtics will face their bitter rivals in the Finals.
