The Angels and Yankees boast the most wins in the major leagues this year and the most runs scored. They both swept their division series, and they split their season series at five games a piece. This ALCS promises to be a great one with both these offensive powers playing their best ball this October.

The New York Yankees are looking for another win tonight against the Minnesota Twins in their series.  If they do win, it will be the first time they have taken a 2-0 lead in a playoff series since 1999.  Also in the American League, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are trying to put the past behind them and take a commanding 2-0 lead against the Boston Red Sox.  The Red Sox have managed to eliminate the Angels in three of the Angels’ last four postseason appearances.

In the National League, the Los Angeles Dodgers have already taken a 2-0 lead over the St. Louis Cardinals.  The Cardinals experienced a brutal loss in game 2 due to an error in the outfield.  The Philadelphia Phillies and Colorado Rockies are tied at one game a piece in the other National League Division series.  The Rockies are currently 4-1 versus the Phillies in postseason play.
