Alabama Crimson Tide – BCS National Champions!

The Alabama Crimson Tide have won the BCS National Championship with a 37-21 defeat of the Texas Longhorns. This is the Crimson Tide’s first national title since 1992.
Alabama’s defense was the story as they knocked out Texas quarterback Colt McCoy in the first quarter, scored a defensive touchdown right before the half, and forced a fumble late in the game to seal their victory.

Nick Saban became the first coach to win national titles with two different schools, his first BCS title coming in 2003 with LSU. Mark Ingram became only ...

Monday Night Football Poll – Ravens vs. Packers

The 6-5 Baltimore Ravens head to Lambeau Field to take on the 7-4 Green Bay Packers in this week’s Monday Night Football. Both of these teams are battling for a wild-card spot in the playoffs and need to finish strong in December.
The Packers are going for a fourth straight victory and are counting on the defense to continue its outstanding play. Green Bay’s defense has only allowed an NFL-low 281.5 yards per game this season.

The Ravens’ defense has also been strong, allowing an average of 11.6 points scored by their ...

Monday Night Football Poll – Patriots vs. Saints

We’ve got a good one for you this week. The New England Patriots head to the Superdome to take on the undefeated New Orleans Saints.
The Saints are playing spectacular football and averaging 36.9 points in their 10 wins. Their offense, led by quarterback Drew Brees, has seen twelve different players scoring touchdowns this season. Tonight may be their toughest match-up yet.

The Patriots are still stinging from the recent loss to the Colts, the NFLs only other undefeated team, after squandering a fourth quarter 17 point lead. They’ll be looking to ...

Monday Night Football Poll – Titans vs. Texans

The Houston Texans welcome the Tennessee Titans to town for this week’s Monday Night Football.
The Texans at 5-4 are playing hard to earn their first playoff appearance in franchise history. Quarterback Matt Schaub currently ranks 3rd behind Peyton Manning and Tom Brady in passing yards. His outstanding play along with an improved defense are the keys to helping Houston achieve that playoff spot.

The Titans have won their last three in a row since replacing Kerry Collins with Vince Young at quarterback after a surprising 0-6 start. Chris Johnson, the NFL’s ...

Monday Night Football Poll – Ravens vs. Browns

Monday Night Football brings us the Baltimore Ravens taking on the Cleveland Browns this week. So it’s not exactly the most exciting match-up of the week (that honor has to go to the Patriots/Colts game), but there are still some things to watch for in this one.

The Ravens started the season strong with 3 wins but currently stand at 4-4. They did have a great win against then-unbeaten Denver on November 1 with a score of 30-7. They also soundly defeated the Browns earlier this season by a score of ...

Performer of the Week – Kurt Warner, Arizona Cardinals

In week 9 of the NFL season, a previous Performer of the Week contender makes it to the top. The Performer of the Week is Kurt Warner of the Arizona Cardinals.

Warner bounced back after having a horrible previous week that included 5 interceptions. This week he had 5 touchdown passes with no turnovers and 261 passing yards. This gave the Cardinals a 41 – 21 win over the Bears, bringing their record to 5 – 3. These great numbers put Kurt Warner at the top of ...

Monday Night Football Poll – Steelers vs. Broncos

Monday Night Football brings us the Pittsburgh Steelers taking on the Denver Broncos this week.
After a slow 1-2 start, Pittsburgh has come on strong with four straight wins. Ben Roethlisberger currently ranks 3rd in passing yards, and the Steelers defense leads the NFL in defending the run.

The Broncos had a tremendous start to their season at 6-0, but their win streak ended last week at the hands of the Ravens in a lopsided 30-7 loss. They haven’t lost to the Steelers in a regular season game in Denver since October ...
