Week 7 brought us more outstanding play by the quarterbacks. That brings us to one of the surprise teams this year, the Cincinnati Bengals, and their quarterback, Carson Palmer, who is the Performer of the Week.

In last Sunday’s 45 – 10 routing of the Chicago Bears, Palmer threw for a season high 5 touchdowns, of which 4 came in the first half. With zero turnovers and 233 yards through the air, he accumulated a career high passer rating of 146.7.

Not only did Carson Palmer have the most fantasy points for the week, he did it against what is one of the toughest defenses in the league.

With their record now improving to 5 – 2, the Cincinnati Bengals are sitting atop the AFC North, along with the Steelers. Can they make it to the playoffs this year? The way Carson Palmer’s been playing, there’s a good chance.
