World Series – Phillies vs. Yankees

October 28, 2009 | BY Lori

New York YankeesThe World Series begins tonight with the Philadelphia Phillies taking on the New York Yankees.

For many baseball fans, this is shaping up to be the best World Series match-up we’ve seen in years.  The Yankees and Phillies feature former Cy Young winners, World Series MVPs, and regular season MVPs.  Both teams offer ace pitchers and big hitters with homer-friendly ballparks.

We have not seen a lot of drama in recent World Series, with 3 of the last 5 being sweeps and the other 2 lasting only 5 games.  Could we be looking at a 7 game championship series for the first time since 2002?  Can the Phillies repeat as champs, or will the Yankees regain their former glory?

Take our poll and tell us who you think will take the title of baseball’s best.

You can support your favorite team with some New York Yankees merchandise or Philadelphia Phillies merchandise for your home and office.  You can also wear your team spirit with  New York Yankees watches or Philadelphia Phillies watches.  Keep your eye out for New York Yankees jewelry and Philadelphia Phillies jewelry arriving soon at MyTeamBling.com.
