Week 5 of this NFL season wasn’t any kinder to the no-win teams. And one of those teams was done in by the spectacular play of Miles Austin of the Dallas Cowboys, making him our Performer of the Week.
As a Dallas Cowboys wide receiver, Miles Austin becomes the first non-quarterback Performer of the Week. With 250 yards receiving this past Sunday, he set a Cowboys franchise record, beating the previous 246 yard record that’s been around since 1966. His 2 timely touchdowns came on plays of 59 and 60 yards, of which the latter gave the Cowboys a 26 – 20 overtime win against the Kansas City Chiefs.
And if all of that wasn’t enough, Miles Austin also had the highest amount of fantasy football points this week. So good call for those of you who put him in your lineups this week.
The Dallas Cowboys improve their record to 3 – 2, while the struggling Chiefs drop to 0 – 5.
