We’ve decided to start a new weekly series to recognize those overachievers for the prior weekend in the NFL.
There were a few to choose from this past weekend, so we’ve decided to base it on 1) fantasy football points according to Yahoo Fantasy Football, 2) whether they won their game, and 3) our discretion (that’s the cool thing about having your own blog).
In week 2 of the 2009 NFL season, we recognize Matt Schaub of the Houston Texans as our Performer of the Week. With 4 touchdown passes and 357 yards passing (and let’s not forget the 4 yards rushing), Schaub led the Texans to victory over the Tennessee Titans. Defeating the Titans, 34-31, while on the road at Tennessee, was an impressive win for the Houston Texans.
Chris Johnson of the Tennessee Titans actually had the most fantasy points, but alas, they lost to the previously mentioned Houston Texans. Plus, it’s nice for the Texans to actually get some kudos for once.
