Now that another All-Star game is in the books and the 2009 trade deadline is right around the corner, it’s time to see how the second half of the MLB season will shape up.
The Red Sox and Yankees currently hold the best records in the American League, with the Rangers, Angels, and Rays also boasting 50+ wins. Will we see any of these teams vying for the American League title this fall?
In the National League, the Phillies are definitely working towards a repeat of their success last season, but the Dodgers currently hold the league-best record with 59 wins so far. Other teams looking like contenders at the halfway point are the Rockies, Cardinals, and Giants.
