For the first time in team history, the Columbus Blue Jackets have clinched an NHL Playoff spot. With a 4-3 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks last night, the Columbus Blue Jackets finally secured postseason play in their eighth season.
Columbus accomplished this feat just one year after their founder and majority Owner, John McConnell, passed away. Now that the Blue Jackets have locked up their playoff spot, all 30 current NHL franchises have now made the playoffs.
